virgo rising male look-alikes!

Look at this list of Virgo-Rising men. They look a LOT a like, I think, right?
I never really believed that thing about your rising sign having to do with looks,
but... these guys really kinda do. They all have dark hair, imposing eyebrows...

There's a list of women underneath---it doesn't seem to be as much true with
the women, i don't think.

does the sign that mercury falls under in your chart play a part in how you look as well?

the virgo rising women pictured looked a little weird to me. its something in their eyes its

hard to explain. cool i didn't know that jane austen was a sun sagittarius with virgo rising.

the sagittarius-rising women were the most interesting to look at... and they really, really looked a lot alike. it was bizarre.
for most of the rising signs though, i felt like the women were far more diverse looking than the men.

oh yeah... and woody allen is also a sun sagittarius with virgo rising. AND an aquarian moon. He's my astro-twin... which is weird, because I always thought I'd dislike him if I met him. Maybe it's self-loathing. ;P

My sun's in Libra, but I have an Aquarius moon and Virgo rising also. I attended a director's series with Woody Allen when I went to NYU - he's actually quite a charming and affable guy, and sharp as a whip. Big fan of his films, especially his dramas.

Recently I told a new acquaintance my moon and rising sign combo and his response was to ask me if I was a very conflicted person. I didn't quite get it. Aquarius and Virgo are inconjunct signs, but both are similarly intellectual, though with seperate sets of preferred functions.

I would probably like his films if i saw them... in fact i saw a short of his once and I did really like it. But the Soon-Yi thing creeps me out, I guess.

As for the inconjunct between aquarius and virgo, I think for me my confliction comes more from the fact that my rising sign is square my sag sun.

do you sense any of the confliction that he thought you might have? you said you didn't quite get it, so maybe not?

Well maybe. My Virgo rising generally causes others to perceive me as a bit more...oh jeez...bitchy and critical than I really am? Those who get to know me better can see that while I note my observations, which can be positive OR negative, sometimes keen and sometimes cutting, I generally truly wish the best for my fellow humans and my criticisms are a natural form that my idealism takes in wanting the best for my fellow man (my Mercury in Scorpio comes into play here as well.)

I try to remember to appreciate the Virgo in my chart, although it creates mostly challenging aspects for me as a LIbra who prefers to be liked socially. A Virgo sun is one of my least favorite sign groups to be around in almost any circumstance, excepting perhaps group members for school or work projects. I find them generally dismal, annoying, uptight and negative people, and it frustrates me to no end when I catch myself being similarly negative. I have dated a few people that turned out to be fellow Virgo risings, and when times were bad they were bad only in the specifically horrible way that they could be between two Virgo risings. Along with water suns, my patient and carefully considered Libran judgement has permanently and inalterably crossed Virgo suns and risings off of the list of future romatic potentials.

On the other hand, my rising in Virgo gives me the focus that an air-heavy dreamer and artist like myself might otherwise lack, giving me diligence to my ambitions. As a Libra with Virgo rising, it makes sense that I am a composer who also spent much time in music criticism.
